What better way is there to spend a nice winter day than with a few furry friends, playing some board games, both classic and new? Sure, video games are fun and all, but it’s always fun to bring it back to basics!

Brought to you in tandem by the GeorgiaFurs staff team and our lovely FWA BGR team, we’ll be hosting a lovely get-together at the FWAffice for an evening of family-friendly fun!

All are welcome to join, and you’re encouraged to bring your fursuits and all the furry merch you want! We’d love to see everyone there~

:gafurs: Walk the Beltline!

WALKIES??!?! That’s right! Shusky’s inviting you to walk with them through Piedmont Park/Beltline!

The loose schedule/itinerary is that we’ll meet up on the South Entrance of Piedmont Park at around 3PM, and we’ll start our walk at 4PM – either towards Ponce City Market or through the park itself.

We’re hoping for good weather, but it’ll most likely be COLD! Make sure to wear warm clothes suitable for walking in the inner city. Badges/tails can be allowed, but be mindful of em!

Parking is VERY limited! Carpooling and Public Transit (Uber/Lyft/MARTA) recommended!

:gafurs: Ding Tea Augusta Fur Meet

Coming from our friends in Augusta, we have a lovely meet at the local Ding Tea location. Ding Tea is an awesome place that has ramen, boba, board games, and even karaoke!

In addition, feel free to bring all your furry apparel and fursuits for this fun event! Fursuits have been confirmed by the venue to be allowed on premise

:gafurs: Furry Minigolf Meet

Fore! In order to have some extra fun this February, come join us for a furmeet at a modern Mini Golf course!

This location is very pro-furry allowing suiting and opening up the pub area for a place to socialize and draw art, so it’s sure to be a good time. In addition, the pub serves both beverages and some really good food, so be sure to bring some food money!

Feel free to stop by to meet some new furs, draw some art art, play some mini golf, and enjoy good vibes~

:gafurs: Little 5 Points Meet (Again!!!)

If you’re looking for a fun weekend activity this month, make sure to join us at Little 5 Points! Our community has had a number of meets in this area, and it’s always been a super fun time~

To begin with, we’ll be going through a variety of stores for some shopping! After we shop and chill, we will be going to Rusans for dinner. They sell sushi, and some really, really good ramen!

Even if you’re just planning on browsing, please be sure to bring at least $20 for dinner and $10 for parking. In addition, be sure to dress warm, as it will be COLD!

In addition, fursuiting is encouraged, as the people at Little 5 Points absolutely ADORE suiters!

✨ VENDORS: Please refer to your emails about your registration to the con! We’re also considering opening up the application again to act as a waitlist where we can pull any last minute vendors if you are still interested. We’ll ping y’all again once it’s live!
✨ PANELIST: We’ll be reaching out to you via email TOMORROW to select our panelists for the MiniCon. Keep an eye out for it. If you didn’t receive an email of confirmation anywhere, we appreciate your interest and hope to see your panel in the next year (or even at FWA!)
✨ FWA/GAF Staff: If you’re a staff for GAF or FWA with interest in attending the MiniCon, please hold off from registering! We’ll have accommodations for you announced shortly.

That’s right! It’s that time of year where Atlanta Pride is back in town, and we’re so excited to share this amazing experience with everyone!

If you haven’t been to an Atlanta Pride before, then you’re in for a real treat. It’s a lovely experience in the heart of downtown Atlanta, at the beautiful Piedmont Park. There’ll be lots of celebration of the LGBTQ+ community, as well as unique vendors, good good, and even a special FWA stand!

That’s right, FWA’s team will be hosting a panel with lots of fun things. I don’t have all the details, but it’s definitely not something you’ll want to miss. In addition, it’ll be a super easy way to locate some more furs to make some new friends~

Sup, racers! Get ready for a boat-load of nostalgia, because the movie we’ll be watching is Hot Wheels: World Race, the 2003 prologue to the Hot Wheels: AcceleRacers movie series.

User reviews hold up pretty well for this movie even today. If cheesy and silly is what you want, then this piece of art will thoroughly entertain you. And because it’s in VRChat you get to snuggle with your friends on a sofa as you watch, and there’s nothing better than that!

:gafurs: Pontoon Brewery Meet (21+)

THIS IS OTTERLY AWESOME! We’re very excited to announce that we’ll be hosting an event at Pontoon Brewery! This establishment is a local (and Shusky-Approved) favorite: you may recognize their name and mascots from one of the guest breweries at FWA. They are very local, and very excited to host us for this very first–out of possibly many–Pontoon Brewery events!

The venue welcomes us to bring our own board games and tabletops to set up on their tables while they are ready to serve up some of their delicious brews. Of course, you are not obligated to join in with drinking with us, but we do want to show our appreciation to the venue–whether you take home a box or partake in a lil 5oz, or even donate a little bit–show out a lil! Oh, did I mention this event is Fursuit-Friendly? We’ll gladly set-up a photoshoot up by one of their murals.

That’s not all: there’ll be an Art Market happening at the same time, AND there’s food being served as well for those feeling a little peckish.
